My son and daughter loved this vegan baked mac and cheese pasta as well. My kids are 6 years apart in age so it can be hard to accommodate them both. Mason, my son is almost 8 years old. He had no idea this recipe is vegan.I even was able to put this pasta in a container and send it with him for lunch. He’s a picky eater, sometimes he won’t eat his school lunches!

He said the strawberries got warm and “mushy.” Oh geez. Everyone will love this family friendly vegan recipe.This vegan recipe contains silken tofu in the plant cheese sauce. Tofu is very nutritious. It is rich in plant protein, calcium, and iron. Silken tofu can be puréed easily in a blender or food processor. Puréed silken tofu makes the perfect creamy base for vegan sauces, soups, and even desserts.

Additionally so are boiled potatoes. These ingredients taste really delicious with vegan bacon bits. Another starchy absorbent Ingredient in this vegan baked mac and cheese pasta recipe is Potato. When skinned and boiled potatoes add another thick creamy component to any pasta. Potatoes are a cheap, nutritious, and versatile ingredient. Which is why they are a staple food in many parts of the world.

Potatoes are rich in protein, fiber, and calcium. They are also abundant in iron, phosphorus, and folate. Also vitamins B1, B6, and E. Boiled skinless potatoes make the tastiest vegan pasta cheese sauces.The bacon bits are totally vegan. I like to use “Its Delish” brand bacon bits. They taste like the real thing to me!

There are a few other brands of vegan bacon bits out there too. Aquafaba is the name for the juice from a can of chickpeas. It creates an egg like texture quality to many vegan recipes. It’s a great ingredient for many vegan pastas, sauces, and baking. I love vegan baked mac and cheese sauces with aquafaba.

My 1 year old just fell asleep for a nap. I always tell myself I’m going to get a million things done during nap time, but I always just relax. Because truly relaxing is the only thing I can not do when she’s awake. Ingredients for this vegan pasta dish are simple and affordable! They include 1 Block Tofu Silken, 1 Medium Potato, 1 Can of chickpeas, for the Aquafaba, and 1 Tbsp Egg Replacer Bobs Red Mill.

Also 1/2 Cup Bacon Bits It’s Delish, 1/2 Cup vegan Butter, and 1/4 Cup unsweetened Plant based milk.Seasonings used for this vegan macaroni and cheese sauce include 1/4 Cup Nutritional yeast, 1 Tbsp Salt, and 1 Tsp Turmeric. Also 2 Tbsp Paprika, 2 Tbsp Paprika, and 2 Tbsp Onion powder.

Nutritional yeast can be a useful source of vitamin B12 for vegans.I also added 2 Tsp Garlic powder, 1/2 Cup White onion Finely chopped, 1/4 Cup Garlic Peeled and finely chopped, and lastly 2 Cups Pasta noodles Dry the mac and cheese.

  • 1 Block Tofu Silken
  • 1 Medium Potato Peeled and boiled
  • 1 Can Aquafaba
  • 1 Tbsp Egg Replacer Bobs Red Mill
  • 1/2 Cup Bacon Bits It’s Delish (vegan)
  • 1/2 Cup Butter Vegan
  • 1/4 Cup Plant milk Unsweetened
  • 1/4 Cup Nutritional yeast
  • 1 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Turmeric
  • 2 Tbsp Paprika
  • 2 Tbsp Paprika
  • 2 Tbsp Onion powder
  • 2 Tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 Cup White onion Finely chopped
  • 1/4 Cup Garlic Peeled and finely chopped
  • 2 Cups Pasta noodles Dry


  1. first Cook your pasta noodles and set aside.

  2. Skin your potato and boil it for 25 minutes or until soft

  3. In a medium pan brown your onions in butter or oil. (Adds flavor)

  4. Use a blender or food processor to blend the tofu, add aquafaba, butter, boiled potato, and onions. Blend until combined.

  5. Add plant milk and blend. Add all dry ingredients(not including bacon bits)/spices and blend.

  6. In a baking pan spread out cooked noodles and pour sauce on top. Now add bacon bits. Use your hands to spread them evenly throughout pasta.

  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes
