About the ingredients

Tofu is a great source of plant based protein and calcium. The only thing with tofu is it can be mushy if you don’t cook it properly. Tofu is really healthy for you. It is high in calcium, protein, and iron. Tofu egg scrambles are perfect for healthy breakfast ideas.

Tofu is also known as bean curd. Soy milk is coagulated then pressed into curds. These curds are pressed into smooth white blocks. Tofu comes in a few different textures.

It can be silken, firm, and extra firm. Tofu absorbs other flavors and can be savory or sweet. It has lower calories and high nutrition. Tofu is rich in protein, iron, calcium, and magnesium.

Tofu is prominent in Asian cuisine. It has been consumed in China for over 2,000 years. Reports have shown tofu beneficial in decreasing bad cholesterol.

People allergic to legumes should not consume soy products. By crumbling the tofu and baking it in the oven it dries out and creates the egg texture. Additionally, tofu is a low carb vegan food. Nutritional yeast and turmeric create the yellow color and tasty flavor.

Another complete proteins is Nutritional yeast, which provide 2 grams of protein per serving, another gram of fiber, and an abundance of vitamins and nutrients. Nutritional yeast is a source of complete proteins and vitamins including the ever sought after vitamin B-12.

It’s very popular among vegans and vegetarians. This ingredient has high amounts of B complex vitamins. Some brands are fortified with vitamin B-12. I always get Braggs because it is fortified with b-12.

Nutritional yeast is a common ingredient in vegan cheese substitutes. This is because it has a nutty, creamy, and cheesy flavor. It tastes great on vegetables, French fries, and popcorn. I love it on pasta, avocado, and soups also. Nutritional yeast is not a reliable source of vitamin b-12 unless it is fortified.

Turmeric has many health benefits. It contains Beto carotene, vitamin C, calcium, and flavonoids. Also fiber, iron, niacin, and zinc. Curcumin is the component with the most notable benefits.

It has strong anti inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Curcumin is linked to higher brain fiction and health.

Bake your tofu eggs up with some chopped vegetables and spices for a healthy plant based breakfast. It’s helpful to use a good quality baking pan to avoid using oil.
