Hemp Seed Tomato Sauce Recipe Is packed with Plant Protein. This Recipe is great for healthy plant based eating. It’s packed with protein and other nutrients. Hemp seeds and tempeh are rich in vegan protein. This vegan dinner recipe is great for the family too.

This recipe is easy, filling, and very healthy. My husband and kids love it too. I love knowing they’re eating healthy once in a while.

100 grams of hemp seeds contain over 30 grams of protein. They are rich in an abundance of other vitamins and minerals also. Additionally, Hemp seeds are similar to beef in protein ratio.

They go great sprinkled on salads, oatmeal, and pasta. Furthermore hemp seeds are low in carbohydrates for low carb dieters. That’s why this recipe is such a good family friendly vegan recipe.

Tempeh is similarly high in plant based protein.

100 grams of tempeh has 19 grams of protein. Tempeh is also rich in prebiotics, vitamins, and minerals. This vegan soy bean product is cholesterol free and great for vegan recipes.

Ingredients for this plant based recipe include 1 can tomato sauce (12oz),2 cups fresh tomatoes (chopped), and 2 cloves garlic. Also 1/4 cup onions chopped, 2 tbsp olive oil, and about 13 oz tempeh (crumbled).

You will also need 1/2 cup hemp seeds, 2 tsp Salt, 2 tbsp dried basil, and 2 tbsp onion powder. Also 2 tbsp nutritional yeast if you like this seasoning. An additional vegan tip is to use nutritional yeast that is fortified with vitamin B12.

Directions for this sauce are very simple

also. In a large frying pan heat up olive oil. Then Add onions and garlic and fry until it starts to brown. Then Add fresh tomatoes to pan and simmer until they start to wilt.

Next Add tempeh and mix with large spoon. Then Add tomato sauce and seasoning. Continue to simmer for approximately 10 minutes. Don’t forget to stir your plant protein sauce occasionally

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 Clove Garlic Chopped
  • 2 Tbsp Nutritional yeast
  • 2 Tbsp Dried chives Seasoning
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 cup onions chopped
  • 16 oz whole wheat pasta or pasta of your choice
