I made this crockpot vitamin C infusion immunity drink tea to keep my family and myself healthy. Now I’m now trying to imply that herbs, teas or any high vitamin c drink can cure anything. However it’s important to have a healthy immune system to avoid becoming ill in the first place. So what are the benefits of orange peel tea? Orange and lemon peel benefits include healthy immunity boosting properties. 

The benefits of orange peel tea include immune boosting properties. That’s because it’s packed with vitamin C. Orange peels are also packed with nutrients such as fiber, vitamin C, and polyphenols. 

In fact, just 1 tablespoon (6 grams) of orange peel provides 14% of the Daily Value (DV) of vitamin C. That’s nearly 3 times more than. That’s why I use them to make my high vitamin c drink.

This Immunity drink is made in the slow cooker due to the fact it contains more vitamin C. When the lemon and orange peels are boiled in a regular pot, more of the nutrients are burned out. In the slow cooker, they are preserved better.

This high vitamin c drink is so simple to make

Vitamin C Infusion Immunity Tea

You only need 3 simple ingredients plus 6 cups water. Healthy High vitamin c drink ingredients include 3 large oranges – the peels, you can eat the oranges or squeeze the juice into the crock pot as well. 

Immunity drink also needs 1 large lemon – the peel of one large lemon, you can squeeze the juice and pulp into the crock pot also. I also like to add 2 tbsp chopped ginger. Benefits for ginger include anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiviral properties. 

Some results indicated that fresh ginger may help protect the respiratory system. It’s also packed with antioxidants which relieve the body of free radicals. 

You also need 2 tbsp maple syrup and 6 cups water for this immunity drink. The directions are super easy also. First, combine all the ingredients in the slow cooker. Turn the slow cooker on high heat and cover with the lid.

Ingredients

  • 3 large Orange peels the peels, you can eat the oranges or squeeze the juice into the crock pot as well
  • 1 Large Lemon (peel) the peel of one large lemon, you can squeeze the juice and pulp into the crock pot also 
  • 2 tbsp Chopped fresh ginger
  • 2 Tbsp Maple syrup or sweetener of your choice
  • 6 cups water

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients in the slow cooker 

  2. Turn the slow cooker on high heat and cover with the lid

  3. Allow to cook for 2 hours 

The benefits of orange peel tea include helping maintain a healthy immune system. A healthy immune system is so important because it protects us by creating a barrier that stops those invaders, antigens, and impurities from entering our body. Furthermore if one gets past the barrier, our healthy immune system makes white blood cells, among other chemicals and proteins that destroy the invaders.

My husband, 2 kids, and myself drank this high vitamin c drink everyday for 2 weeks. We didn’t get sick and we had a lot of energy. However we also followed every single CDC guideline recommendation during the pandemic. I sure do want this health crisis to end soon. 

It seems as though the ones who are most at risk are the elderly and people with respiratory and immune system problems. For example, people who have been through chemotherapy have a weakened immune system. Cancer survivors have already conquered one disease and now face this new virus. I’m looking forward to the return of normalcy! My husband has an essential worker job, at the bank. But my kids an I have been quarantined in the house ever since school was canceled. I’ve been trying to keep them busy though. Today we’re going to make DIY Playdough with corn starch, food coloring, and conditioner!
