After being vegan for two years I don’t miss or crave dairy one bit anymore. I actually really love vegan cheeses. Every brand I’ve ever tried was delicious on simple vegan pizzas. Not to mention the home made vegan cheeses I make myself from time to time!

Due to that fact that I’ve tasted basically every brand of vegan cheese out there I feel confident giving my opinions! The 3 brands I would recommend for simple vegan pizza is either daiya brand shredded cheeses, Chao, or Miyokos.

Daiya products are made from cassava and arrowroot. They are commended for the melting qualities and cheesy consistency! It contains no animal products or soy, lactose, wheat, barley, gluten or nuts. Perfect for vegan pizza dinner recipes.

A few daiya cheese products I would suggest for making pizza include Daiya Cheddar Style Shreds, Mozzarella Style Shreds, or Classic Blend Shreds. They also have Cutting Board Collection Mozzarella Style Shreds, And Daiya Cutting Board Collection Cheddar Style Shreds.

I also really liked Field Roast’s Chao Creamery Brand vegan cheeses for pizzas. Their company began in the early 2000s with the creation of the hand-formed Herbed Chao Ball. It’s a simple, soft, dairy-free cheese made from fermented tofu, fresh tofu, shiro miso paste, and fresh garlic and seasonings.

Today the ever-expanding line of Chao Creamery products honor their commitment to blend the best of Asian and European traditionally-crafted. For making pizza I’d suggest their Creamy Original Chao slices. Although they do have some herb flavored slices as well. They all work well on vegan pizza.

For making pizzas I do believe Miyoko’s Vegan Mozz. It comes like a mozzarella ball. I usually slice is up and carefully distribute evenly on the vegan pizza. This makes the best vegan dinner recipe.

Miyoko’s Mozz cheese melts good in the oven and tastes super good! It’s made from Filtered Water, Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Cashews, Organic Tapioca, Agar, Salt, and Cultures. By the way I do not work for any of these companies!

This simple plant based pizza is delicious for the entire family!

You only need a few east vegan ingredients from the local store to make this pizza. Ingredients For The pizza Crust include 2.5 cups all purpose flour, 1 tsp instant yeast, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp olive oil extra for coating, and 3/4 cup water.

For the Pizza Toppings you will need 2 cups pizza sauce or tomato sauce of your choice and 2 cups vegan cheese such as daiya, Miyoko’s, and Chao. I also like to put spinach and avocados on top of my plant based pizzas! The instructions for this recipe for vegan pizza are very easy to follow as well!

First Combine all ingredients in large mixing bowl. Then Use your hands to knead and mix into a dough. It Should be soft and not too sticky. Manually mold vegan pizza dough into a ball inside the mixing bowl and coat with a little olive oil. Next Cover bowl with towel or rag and allow to set for 3 hours as dough rises.

Ingredients

For The Crust

  • 2.5 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp olive oil extra for coating
  • 3/4 cup water

For Pizza Toppings

  • 2 cups pizza sauce/ tomato sauce
  • 2 cups vegan cheese such as daiya, Miyoko’s, and Chao

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in large mixing bowl. Use your hands to knead and mix into a dough. Should be soft and not too sticky.

  2. Mold dough into a ball inside the mixing bowl and coat with a little olive oil

  3. Cover bowl with towel or rag and allow to set for 3 hours as dough rises

  4. Preheat oven to 480 degrees F

  5. Divide dough into two pieces.

  6. roll dough out on a lightly floured parchment paper into two pizza crusts

  7. Move the parchment paper with crust onto a baking tray

  8. Top with sauce and vegan cheese or toppings of your choice

  9. Bake the pizza for 10-15 minutes (depending on how many toppings you add) until the crust is golden and slightly crispy.
