At the time I’m writing this we are avoiding public spaces as much as possible. Which means everyone is looking for good recipes using non perishables and pantry items. Due to the fact that the store shelves are being emptied so quickly everyday.
I already happened to have 3 large containers of Quaker Oats quick oats oatmeal. My husband bought the huge containers, they’re 42oz. He also bough 4 bags of dried apricots for some reason. Additionally I had left over dried cranberries from a previous recipe.
You can use any dried fruit you like for this recipe

Other than making recipes with dried fruit, I’m using a lot of Tupperware and large zip lock baggies. Due to the fact that things are so weird outside I just want to prep as much as possible.
Oatmeal is cheap (especially when you buy the large container of Quaker Oats.) additionally it has a long shelf life. Dried fruit also has a long shelf life. I used brown sugar because I already had some in the pantry. However you can use any sweetener you like.
You only need a few simple pantry items to make this dried fruit oatmeal bake. The ingredients include 3 cups oatmeal dry 2 tsp baking soda, and 1 cup dried cranberries. You also need 1 cup dried apricots, 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1 cup applesauce, and 3 cups water.
The applesauce is a vegan egg replacer that is a common pantry item. You can replace this with 3/4 cup peanut butter or 2 bananas. If you do use peanut butter or bananas make sure you mix it sufficiently.
This dried fruit oatmeal bake is so easy to make. Start by combining all ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Stir the ingredients together and allow it to set for about 20 minutes. Pour the oatmeal mixture into a cake pan 9X13).
