After making the switch to a vegan lifestyle, cream cheese is one of those items many people miss. Luckily, there are so many good options on the market today for vegan cream cheese. And, if you don’t want to purchase vegan cream cheese, you can always make your own!

While vegan cream cheese is delicious on a cracker or a fresh slice of bell pepper, it’s also really tasty to cook with. The texture and flavor adds a lot to various meals and desserts. From vegan frostings to dips, here are some of my favorite recipes that use vegan cream cheese.
1. Vegan Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins

It doesn’t have to be “pumpkin spice season” to enjoy these vegan pumpkin cream cheese muffins. This Starbucks copycat recipe is gluten-free and these muffins make the perfect mid-morning snack. I always have at least one can of pumpkin puree on hand to make tasty pumpkin recipes. These muffins are filled with vegan cream cheese and will leave your sweet tooth satisfied! And, they’re kid-friendly which is a huge bonus.
2. Vegan Whipped Feta Dip

This vegan whipped feta dip is a nice balance of sweet and savory. It tastes great on toast, crackers, or even used as a dipping sauce for veggies. Topped with pistachios and cranberries, you can’t go wrong with this nutty and sweet dip. And, it’s really quick and easy to make. Try it on your next sandwich to bring up the flavor and texture!
3. Dairy-Free Cheesecake

Many dairy-free or vegan cheesecakes are made with nuts or tofu. But, this one isn’t! So, it’s vegan and allergy friendly if you have anyone in the family that is allergic to nuts. The bulk of the cheesecake is made with vegan cream cheese and even your non-vegan friends will love it. The crust is made with crushed Oreos (yes, Oreos are vegan!) for a tasty and crunchy treat.
4. Vegan Strawberry Cheesecake

It wouldn’t be a list of cream cheese recipes without a couple of cheesecakes, right? This vegan strawberry cheesecake is the perfect treat to make for a friend or family member for a special occasion. This is a no-bake recipe also making it a great summer dessert. And, the bright pink colors from the natural strawberries is beautiful.
5. Rye Flour Banana Bread With Cream Cheese Frosting

It’s always a debate in our house whether cream cheese belongs on banana bread. I say it does! This tasty vegan banana bread is frosted with a delicious, fluffy cream cheese frosting. Vegan yogurt gives it a smooth texture and mashed bananas give this bread unbelievable flavor. Is your mouth watering yet?
6. Cherry Cheesecake (No-Bake Option)

Another no-baked vegan cheesecake is very deserving of being on this list. This sweet and smooth cheesecake is topped with cherries, one of my favorite fruits to serve with desserts. This is a simple recipe with minimal ingredients that are relatively easy to find at the grocery store. Next time you have a holiday party, whip up this cheesecake and see if anyone even notices it’s vegan!
7. Vegan Strawberry Cake

There’s something about strawberries and cream cheese when they come together. It really is a match made in heaven. This vegan strawberry cake uses fresh strawberries, vegan cream cheese, and non-dairy milk. It’s easy to whip up from scratch, even if you’re not an experienced baker.
8. Gluten-Free Oreo Balls

It’s no secret that Oreo’s are vegan and taste amazing in various vegan desserts. These gluten-free Oreo balls are no exception. Next time you’re having a craving for chocolate, whip up a batch of these vegan chocolate truffles.
