5 Best Vegan Protein Powders 2021
As someone who is vegan and enjoys a protein shake or powder from time to time I had to try these 5 best vegan protein powders of 2021! Some of them were so delicious and made me feel great while others were a bit dry and chalky. Well others were OK tasting but super rich in vitamins and minerals. Here’s my list of the 5 best vegan protein powder for 2021 based on taste, price, and nutritional value.
- Ka’Chava Meal Replacement Shake – A Blend of Organic Superfoods and Plant-Based
This product is very expensive, it’s costs $80 to $90 for a 930g Bag. For that price you get a pretty tasty vegan and plant based protein powder however it is a bit difficult to blend all the way smooth. So you definitely need to add a little liquid at a time and blend so it does not turn chunky. Ka’Chava Meal Replacement Shake contains more than 70 plant based superfood ingredients such as: Maca, Sacha Inchi, Chia, Camu Camu, Coconut, and Kale. One serving contains 240 calories and does keep you full for a few hours. It also contains 25 grams of protein and is rich in Fiber, Omegas, Greens, Antioxidants, and Adaptogens. Furthermore it is Gluten, Soy, and Dairy Free. I give it a 6 out of 10, deducting points for the crazy high price. It still makes my list of the best vegan protein powders of 2021 because it’s tasty and nutrient dense.
Plant based meal replacements should taste good and be nutrient dense!
This product has a much more affordable price tag at around $30 for a 2 lbs jug. It’s relatively tasty as well however I will acknowledge that the artificial sweetener is a bit more noticeable than others. I would say it’s best use in food such as oatmeal, muffins, grits, etc. over mixed with water as a drink. However if you make a thick smoothie that includes peanut butter and bananas for example that does taste really good. It contains healthy ingredients such as: Organic Pea Protein, Organic Brown Rice Protein, Organic, and Chia Seed. One serving contains 21 g of protein, 150 calories, fiber, iron, and potassium. I gave it a six out of 10 because of the affordable price but it certainly doesn’t have the abundance of super food nutrients like the previous brand. Overall it’s not the best vegan protein powder but it is in the top five.
This plant-based protein shake powder is going to cost you around $30- $45 for a 34.2 ounce canister. This one actually has one of my favorite flavors! However I do feel it has a bit of a gritty texture and consistency that’s why I like to blend it in with things like oatmeal or peanut butter banana smoothies. One serving has 120 cal and 20 g of protein. It also contains fiber and is low in carbs. This product is actually really rich in nutrition with a lot of vitamins and minerals, it also has a pretty good taste, and affordable price. This powder is one of the top favorites for the vegan bodybuilding diet because of the high protein and nutrients . For these reasons I give this product an 8 out of 10 for being the best vegan protein powder of 2021.
I am a statement I’m a sucker for flavors like birthday cake. Anything that reminds me of cake or baked goods it’s worth a try in my book. A lot of vegan protein powders only come in plain, chocolate, or vanilla. And the birthday cake flavored one is actually really tasty. One serving has 120 calories, 25 grams of protein, only 2 carbs, 4 grams bcaas, an amazing amino acid profile, tons of antioxidants and greens and digestive enzymes. The price of around 31 ounce container is going to run you about $50. It also contains calcium, Iron, and potassium. I give this product an 8 out of 10 for being the best vegan protein powder of 2021. That’s because it has an OK price but it is nutrient dense and I just love the birthday cake flavor so much!
Another tasty flavor outside of vanilla or chocolate so of course I am on board! A container that is a little bit over 17 ounces it’s going to cost you around $40-$45. One serving has around 20 g of protein and only one carbohydrate and zero sugar. This product is Vegan, Dairy Free, Soy Free, GMO Free & Gluten Free. Although you can definitely tell it has artificial sweetener however it’s still very tasty. When blended properly with something like soy milk, bananas, fresh fruit, etc. it blends really nicely. It’s nutrient dense however it is not rich in fiber. But that’s to be expected in keto friendly products. It is rich in iron, phosphorus, Zinc, copper, magnesium, and selenium.I give this product a 7 out of 10 for being the best vegan protein powder of 2021. The price is OK but the flavor is really great and the nutritional value is dense.
