I made this vegan cheesecake frosting recipe today and we are still licking the spoon and bowl. As soon as I finished taking these photos for the post we went to town! When I say “we” I mean my kids and myself.

You only need 5 simple ingredients to make this vegan frosting dessert recipe. Ingredients include 1/2 cup vegetable shortening, 8 oz vegan cream cheese (such as tofutti, and 1/2 cup Smuckers marshmallow topping. Also 1 tsp vanilla extract and 4 cups powdered sugar. Powdered sugar helps make Dairy-free frosting thick and fluffy.

Directions for this marshmallow vegan cream cheese frosting recipe without butter are so easy as well. First In a large mixing bowl combine vegetable shortening and vegan cream cheese.

Then Beat vegan cream cheese frosting together with electric mixer until thoroughly combined and fluffy. Next Add marshmallow topping and vanilla extract and beat again until thoroughly combined and fluffy.

Start combining in powdered sugar 1 cup at a time while beating in between cups. This way vegan cream cheese frosting blends better and you avoid a powdered sugar explosion.
